Virtual Elimination of PBTs

Industry commits to the virtual elimination of persistent and bioaccumulating toxic substances that have been identified in an open, transparent process with multi-stakeholder input using established science-based criteria. Virtual elimination is described by the IJC Virtual Elimination Task Force, Final Report, Vol. I as: achieving an absence of injury and achieving the goals of restoring and maintaining ecosystem health as expressed in the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreemen.
